YOUR ROOTS
Man is a curious creature, interested in learning about his "roots." The Bible reveals that man was created from the dust of the ground in the image and likeness of God and given dominion over every living thing. What an exalted beginning!
But what about man's spiritual roots? Many today can trace their spiritual lineage only as far back as the formation of denominational bodies called "Protestants" because they resulted from protests against spiritual corruption within the apostate Roman church. Every denominational member should be interested enough in his own soul's welfare to investigate his roots. He will ultimately and sadly find them grounded in a human system of religion. The honest and sincere soul cannot be content with that.
The only hope for salvation is to be rooted and grounded in Christ (Acts 4:12). Denominations are the works of men and will be rooted up (Matt. 15:13).
