WHY SATAN IS HAPPY WITH "FAITH ONLY"

For many years the world has heard the doctrine of salvation by faith only. Its advocates are ready to proclaim without hesitation that one is already saved the instant he first believes that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

During Jesus' personal ministry when unclean spirits (demons) were cast out of their victims, the unclean spirits acknowledged Jesus as the Son of God. James stated, "...the devils also believe and tremble" (Jas. 2:19). The "faith only" doctrine insures salvation to the unclean spirits and demons because they believe.

Why shouldn't this doctrine make Satan extremely happy? He knows that when people are assured beyond doubt that they are saved outside of Christ they will do nothing to make sure that they are in Christ. Scripturally speaking, faith is UNTO (toward, in the direction of) salvation. The Bible gives only one entrance INTO Christ (Gal. 3:26-27). When one obeys this, he is become a new creature (II Cor. 5:17, John 3:5). Why is there so much objection to scriptural baptism? It's simply that what it does makes Satan very unhappy.
