WHO ABRAHAM'S SEED ARE
Much is said about the seed of Abraham in the scriptures. God promised faithful Abraham he would give a land to Abraham and his seed, and that the number of his seed would be as the dust of the earth.
When the Jews went out to receive the baptism of John (Matt. 3:7-9), John the Baptist said unto them, "And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham."
Christ is the seed of Abraham through whom the promises of God were fulfilled (Gal. 3:16-29). This passage concludes, "And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise." So then, it is not the fleshly seed who shall receive the eternal inheritance, but the spiritual seed of Abraham. To be in Christ (Gal. 3:26-27) is to become Abraham's seed and heirs of eternal promise.
