WHERE THE SAVED ARE
Millions of religious people claim salvation for themselves when in reality the scriptures offer them no assurances in their present situation. The reason is that people seem to prefer religious affiliation that enjoys human popularity and approval rather than membership in the body of Christ, the church Jesus built and for which he gave his life (Matt. 16:18, Acts 20:28, Eph. 5:25).
When the church was established (Acts 2), it is recorded (verse 47) that the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved. Catholicism and the various ensuing denominations did not exist. Only the church of our Lord was in existence. All these other churches were founded through human effort and will be destroyed eventually (Matt. 15:13).
Now notice this! Since the saved are added to the Lord's church (singular), it necessarily follows that there are no saved outside his church. The saved are in his church because that is where he puts them. He is the author of eternal salvation (Heb. 5:8-9) so he knows what he is doing. Membership in humanly-founded institutions cannot save because Christ's blood is not there!
