WHAT "ETERNITY" MEANS
Life on earth is geared to time. All our activities are scheduled in some manner by clock or calendar. We are so programmed to the passing of time that it is difficult, if not impossible, to understand eternity.
Time is necessary in physical life, and time plays no favorites. It does not speed up nor slow down to satisfy individual whims. Time is allotted to every person exactly alike in that each has twenty-four hours each day and every person advances in age at the same rate.
God is not regulated by time as we are, because he is eternal. The human soul is from God and is also eternal. We may learn that eternity means not only without ending but also without beginning, but we may not understand it as long as time hinders our ability to understand. The most important fact we must learn is that time is when to prepare for eternity.
