Bible Truth FAQs

THERE IS NO NEUTRAL ZONE

Among the many religious systems in the world today, Christianity is in the minority. Of those professing Christianity only a few claim no sectarian ties and follow the~ New Testament pattern. Why are there so many uncommitted who claim no religious affiliation? It is because the infighting and contradictions among sectarian groups have so clouded the issue of religion that many prefer to remain on the sidelines as observers and claim neutrality.

Christ prayed (John 17) that his followers be united so that the world may believe that he was sent from heaven. Sectarians have always insisted on having their own divisive ways instead of submitting to the will and prayer of our Savior. Thus we have much skepticism and infidelity throughout the world.

But what about neutrality? It is simply a false assumption on the part of the bystanders. Jesus said (Matt. 12:30), "He that is not with me is against me, and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad." There is no neutrality. He adds the saved to his church (Acts 2:47) when they obey him (Heb. 5:8-9). It's far better to be numbered with his army right now, for the opportunity for obeying may slip away and that more convenient season may never arrive.
