Bible Truth FAQs

PREJUDICE IS BLINDING

When we form preconceived ideas and opinions about religious matters, we are usually blinded from the truth. We stubbornly hold to notions we like and refuse to consider other possibilities. Samuel told King Saul (I Sam. 15:23) .. "stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry." It cost Saul his throne over Israel.

When people are informed that Christ in his death took the law of Moses out of the way, nailing it to his cross (Col. 2:14), many will not accept it. They stubbornly try to hold on to that which is done away.

When Moses came down from Mt. Sinai with the tables of stone, his face shone so brightly he put a veil over his face so that the Israelites could look upon him. Hear Paul's words of II Cor. 3:14: "But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same veil untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which veil is done away in Christ." Are you blindly holding to old testament law?
