ONLY GOD KNOWS WHEN CHRIST WILL RETURN
The question is in regard to the end of the world, the second coming of Christ. People have somehow come up with ideas that irregular weather patterns, especially unseasonable ones, will signal the end of time. Many are fearful of world destruction by. human means, such as powerful bombs. Still others depend on the signs of the times to tell when it all will end. But who really knows? Jesus said (Matt. 24:36) that no one knows, not even the angels in heaven. but that only God the Father knows.
Do not depend on weather phenomena to give signs because God promised (Gen. 8:22), "While the earth remaineth, seed time and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease." Likewise, do not fear that acts of men will destroy the world, for Peter stated in II Pet. 3:7 that the heavens and the earth are by the word of God kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
Jesus in Matt. 24:36-51 indicated that no signs would be evident, but that he would return "in such an hour as ye think not." His admonition was simple: Be ready!
