In 1973 (Roe vs. Wade), the U. S. Supreme Court legalized the right (?) of abortion. Sixty-one percent of Americans generally find abortion to be morally repugnant (Los Angeles Times Poll, March 3-10, 1989). Many protests have been made throughout this nation, labeling abortion for what it is -- MURDER!!

Admittedly, a fetus does not have the fullness of personality and character we can actually see, as in persons we associate with, but medical authorities confirm that a separate and distinct life is detectable after two weeks of gestation. This is a living organism and the beginning of a human being. Who gave man the right to decide such should not live? In Acts 17:25 the Apostle Paul told the Athenians, ..he giveth to all LIFE, and BREATH, and all things." Couples may set in motion the plan for giving birth through natural law, but the natural law of procreation came from God (Gen. 1:28) and it is he who gives life.

Murder has always been wrong morally, spiritually, and legally. When life is present through the gift of God, men dare not take this life, lest he be called a murderer. In Rev. 21:8 murderers are listed explicitly among those assigned to eternal destruction.
